As a global leader in packaging technology, MULTIVAC is committed to continuous innovation through research and development around the world.

Our R&D activities include:

Packaging Application Center, Headquarters, Germany. In this facility MULTIVAC engineers and scientists conduct extensive research into materials, products and technologies to develop packaging innovations across multiple sectors, including food, medical, consumer and industrial products.

Every year, hundreds of customers work with our application center professionals in Germany and around the world to produce thousands of prototypes and trial packages for their product development requirements. 

R&D Partnership Initiatives. MULTIVAC opens its packaging application center to leading film, tray and material manufacturers for development and testing of new packaging materials. In addition, we supply MULTIVAC machinery to multiple testing centers operated by our partners around the world.

Academic Research. Working with leading universities and colleges around the world,  MULTIVAC funds a number of research and educational programs into product and packaging technologies and applications. MULTIVAC machinery is also supplied to these leading institutions.

Product Development and Innovation. MULTIVAC engineers work continuously to improve existing machinery and develop and extend our equipment portfolio.
